French new wave has a few characteristics. Such as long shots, jump cuts, and anti authoritarian protagonists. In my film I decided to have french dialogue. Although natural sound is a characteristic of French new wave, I decided not to add that in my film. I do however, have natural location. All french new wave is in black and white so that's something that I decided to add. My film is a romantic drama. It's a love story about a girl who's been cheated on but finds someone better for herself. Women in French new wave aren't your typical girls: happy, vulnerable. Although my protagonists seems vulnerable, the message behind my film is that she's moved past that. She's in face not vulnerable. She won't cry anymore.
